A quilting update.......in April I was committed to finishing every quilt top I had started, I now have completed all but 1,  it seems my creativity can't seem to see the end of the tunnel on this one....I am committed to having it finished by the end of the year,   my total quilt  count for this year:  I finished 9 quilt tops that I had started who knows when, made 12 new ones and our guild's raffle quilt for 2007.....  Every Tuesday I join 10 other women and quilt all day,   yesterday I cut out 3 new quilts I want to make before the end of the year.    Oh the joys of an empty nest ;0)
Maybe I'll use Jaime's new digital camera and take some pics and post them.............One of my favorite quilts was the one I made for the Bryan policeman who contracted west nile virus and is paralyzed from the waist down, we left the backing in the squad room for all of his fellow policeman to sign...needless to say he was blown away when he received it......my  other favorite, was a raggy jacket I made for Kennedy, it is a pink sweatshirt covered with scraps and quilted very tightly so when you wash it , it  becomes raggy...... here is a picture of  it.........kennedy jacket
don't you just love the chessy smile......

Finally...7 months later...a posting....being a grandma is so much fun, all you do is play and eat candy   go to the park, swing real high, go down the slide very very fast, eat more candy , bake cookies, play with playdoh, do puzzles, build with blocks, read books and more books and more books, tell stories, sing songs, play dress-up, blow bubbles, dig for worms, color, take really long bubble baths with a tea set and funny foam,  and finally sit still long enough to fall asleep, then wake up and do it all over again.....and at grandma's we dont have to shut our eyes or take naps....and what happens at grandma's stays at grandma's.........
